Corporate Event Videography in Australia | AFRA Event Case Study
A behind-the-scenes look at an AFRA industry event, capturing keynote speakers, audience interaction, networking and the atmosphere of a corporate event.
A great corporate event is about more than what happens on stage.
It is also about the conversations between people, the reactions from the audience, the moments of laughter and applause, and the connections that continue after the presentations are over.
Recently, I had the opportunity to provide video coverage for an industry event organised by the Australian Furniture Removers Association (AFRA).
The event featured two very different speakers, Tara Saxon and Lizzie Williamson. Their contrasting presentation styles provided two very different visual stories to capture.
Tara Saxon explored the relationship between money, mindset, identity and self-worth. Rather than simply talking about financial management, her keynote encouraged the audience to reflect on how their beliefs and experiences can shape their relationship with money.
Lizzie Williamson brought a completely different energy to the stage. Through movement, physical expression and audience participation, she transformed the presentation into a highly interactive experience.
For this event, my focus was not simply on recording the speakers.
I also looked for the reactions of the audience, moments of interaction, networking, details of the venue and branding, and the conversations happening around the presentations.
For me, the real value of corporate event videography is not simply telling people that “an event happened.”
It is about allowing someone who wasn't in the room to feel:
What happened here? Why did these people come together? And why did this event matter?
That is what I hope to continue exploring through corporate event videography — not just documenting events, but documenting the connections that happen within them.
