About
I'm Yon — a photographer and filmmaker with over a decade of work across China, the Maldives and Australia. My career began in Shanghai, took me to the Maldives as a resident photographer at a luxury island resort, and now spans Queensland and destination locations worldwide.
I'm a WPPI member and an official DJI contract photographer. My work has won the Queensland Storyteller Competition, a Silver Distinction at WPPI, and an Excellence Award at DJI's Aerial Photo & Video Competition. But the best measure? Clients who come back.

The beginning
While on a university exchange internship in the United States, I wanted to hold onto the beauty and memories right in front of me — so I worked part-time and bought my very first camera. That small camera became the start of everything.

Yon took a large quantity of quality photos at a small family gathering at a private residence for us for 1 hour. He arrived on time, got straight to work & worked in an unobtrusive, polite manner. Yon took a variety of posed & informal shots. He was confident in giving some instructions to the guests. Photos reflect good lighting and composure. Yes. As a licensed DJI contract photographer I provide aerial photo and video for property, coastline, landscape and events, weather and location permitting.
